Summary
[edit]During an ordinary day, Starscream's mug suddenly appears on all television sets across Earth, proclaiming the Decepticons as the humans' new overlords. Optimus Prime concludes that his true goal is to cause mass panic and chaos in the human populace to make them easier to conquer. Raf pinpoints the most likely location of the broadcast hijacking: the recently launched COMSAT-1 satellite that's powerful enough to broadcast to the entire planet. The Autobots use the GroundBridge to travel to the satellite, where they confront Soundwave and Vehicons. They manage to cut off Soundwave's connection to COMSAT-1, but the satellite's own cameras are activated, now feeding footage of the battle to televisions on Earth. At the Nemesis, Starscream laments the seeming failure of his plan, but Megatron sees potential in the new footage causing panic among the humans.
At the Autobot base, Ratchet desperately tries to cut off the signal, but it's too strong. But Raf comes up with an idea... Ratchet warps to COMSAT-1 with a link of his own and plugs it into the satellite. The broadcast suddenly changes to Miko disguised as a news anchor, announcing that the recent footage was of a new cartoon called Cosmobots. The unknowing humans happily accept this explanation and Megatron, angered that another of the Decepticons' plots has been foiled, orders his troops to fall back.
