- The Combicons are Decepticon guinea pigs from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Decepticon team known as the Combicons represented an early attempt to create a viable combiner. By all accounts, it didn't work out.

Notes
- The Combicons were first alluded to way back in How Ratchet Got His Hands Back, although they only received an official team name and a full roster in the backup story "No Guns, No Swords, No Briefcases".
- While most other combining characters possess three modes - robot, vehicle, and limb - Ambulon, and presumably the other Combicons, can only transform into their respective combiner limbs.
