The Matrix Blade is an absurdly large sword, wielded by Omega Prime, that presumably draws its strength from the Matrix.

Japanese name: God Fire Sword

Robots in Disguise

Omega Prime summoned the power of the Matrix Blade during the final showdown with the the lazy Galvatron. This was made possible by the concentration by Fortress Maximus of the goodwill of Earth's children. (Yes.) They faced off at the planet's molten core, and although the battle was extremely fierce, the Matrix Blade ensured Omega Prime's victory over his foe.

Toys

  • The Matrix Blade, a redeco of the Master Sword included with the Japanese releases of Fortress Maximus and Grand Maximus, was originally available only as a contest prize. This release came with both the original hilt as well as a longer staff-style handle which allowed it to be held (sort of) by the Omega Prime toy. (It should be noted that this was effectively an either-or proposition - the handles are not made to be interchanged once attached.) The Matrix Blade was later made more widely available as part of a Toys R Us Japan-exclusive translucent Omega Prime giftset. This version did not include the hilt for Fortress Maximus.
