The name or term "Optimus Prime" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Optimus Prime (disambiguation).
It's a comic book about that truck guy from that eighties cartoon... red, blue... you know the one...

Optimus Prime is an upcoming comic series from IDW Publishing. It is a sequel to and rebranded version of The Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Set to begin in November 2016, it will run alongside sister titles Lost Light and Till All Are One.

Overview

In the wake of Optimus Prime's controversial annexation of Earth into the Council of Worlds, the Prime now conducts relations with humankind. Based out of his living base Metrotitan in Monument Valley, he faces a new status quo, not one which everyone likes.

Creative team

John Barber returns as the writer, joined by Kei Zama as the main artist.[1]

Notes

  • The book is the rare Transformers-related thing not to have the Transformers brand wordmark appear on its front.
