Fiction
IDW Generation 1 continuity family
Like the other Darkling Lords, Cindarr was a follower of Darkstorm prior to his death. After Merklynn recreated a portion of their lost homeworld of Prysmos as a city beneath the surface of Cybertron, Cindarr was one of the "Visionaries" that took up residence in this New Prysmos, and was present when Merklynn and the Visionaries debated what to do about the Cybertronians controlling the planet.
While the Visionaries' leaders Virulina and Leoric met with Cybertronian representatives Kup and Ironhide, Cindarr investigated rumors that one of the Cybertronians had been injured merely by approaching the magical energies of the Talisman, and found them to be true — and, as well, that the Talisman was slowly tunneling towards the core of Cybertron. When Virulina returned to the Monastery of the Darkling Lords, Cindarr revealed his findings to her, and that the Darkling Lords could potentially destroy the Cybertronians in a matter of months or less. Notes
- Cindarr, of course, hails from the original 1980s Visionaries franchise from Hasbro. Rather than a wise thinker like the IDW version, the original was much more of a "dumb muscle" archetype.
- When Fico Ossio's concept art of the Visionaries was first revealed, Cindarr was mislabelled as "Reekon", a different Darkling Lord.
