Doryu is a Dinobot, and later, a Dinocon.
Fiction
Shattered Glass
Doryu and the Dinobots were created by Wheeljack, in response to a previous slight against the scientist by Optimus Prime. Wheeljack mobilized the Dinobots during a battle between the Autobots and Decepticons for the Arch-Ayr fuel dump.
While the beasts managed to scare the bejesus out of intimidate the combatants, their behavior left much to be desired: rather than follow Wheeljack's command and attack the Decepticons, the Dinobots started brawling among themselves and scattered. Eventually, he was among the eight Dinobots captured by the Decepticons, and would be given upgrades by Starscream to render him and the others more docile. However, Grimlock would bring Doryu and the others to Omega Terminus, which granted him an ember and the ability to transform. Dungeons & Dinobots When the Decepticons discovered the Dinocons new abilities, they had Bombshell evalutate them. Do Over.
Notes
- Doryu is based on Victory Doryu's Pretender shell.
- Doryu and Kakuryu were not featured in "Dungeons & Dinobots" itself, only appearing in the accompanying art. However, artist Evan Gauntt later revealed on Twitter that they and Sludge had been specifically called for in the story's script. [1]
