After being chosen as Cybertron's next leader by the Matrix of Leadership, Optimus Primal wields the mighty Scepter of Sparks to channel both the wisdom and power of the Thirteen Primes. The Scepter is in fact an extension of the Halo of Primus, allowing its wielder to utilize the nigh-infinite power of the Primes in controlled doses to carry into battle and light the darkest hour.
