Shockwave's drones are Decepticon drones from the Cyberverse continuity family.
Harima Research Academy is the place where their neurochips were made.

Perfect assistants for the immoral Decepticon mad scientist on the go, Shockwave's drones are multipurpose machines that help out their master in his laboratory. Keeping the lab clean, supplying equipment and tools, detecting snooping Autobots, it's all in a day's work for these little guys.

Cyberverse cartoon

Shockwave had three drones attending him as he worked on activating Vector Sigma. As he spoke with Megatron about his success, one of the drones spotted Bumblebee listening in, raising the alarm and forcing the Autobot to flee as all three drones' cannons drew a bead on him. Megatron Is My Hero

Notes

  • The drones are based on Shockwave's own spider-tank alternate mode, just a lot smaller, and with a few small changes to differentiate them from him.
