Ray Stantz is a Ghostbuster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Dr. Raymond Stantz is a scientist and founding member of the Ghostbusters.

Ray appeared in the Ghostbusters chapters of IDW's Infestation and The X-Files: Conspiracy crossover events.
One of Susan Hoffman's assistants in "Race with the Devil" was drawn to resemble Ray's appearance in The Real Ghostbusters.
In both The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters, Ray was voiced by Frank Welker.
