Judge Deliberata was leading a guard detail that were escorting Ultra Magnus, Kup and Spike Witwicky to their judgment when the Autobots and human managed to escape and take him prisoner. The Quintessons, however, merely sentenced him to death. Judge Deliberata applauded his fellow Quintessons' judgment and accepted his fate gracefully. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 2
He remained the Autobots' prisoner until he managed to escape on planet Goo, and was later seen among the Quintessons who allied with Galvatron. His death sentence must have been reversed on appeal. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4
