Thurston Chumley

Thurston Chumley is a human from the Rescue Bots continuity family.

"These animals aren't dead. They're just sad. I make them stand on boxes, you see. So I can look into their hilarious defeated eyes any time I like."

Lord Thurston Chumley was born Thurston Quarry, but unlike the rest of his family, he believes in keeping all of his prey. He has taken great pride in having built up a huge menagerie of trophy animals, all kept in stasis. He maintains a vicious rivalry with his brother Quint, and even stole his sibling's technology to help him hunt better.

While he was growing up, Thurston and his family took care of an orphaned lion. It eventually grew too large for them to handle, so they donated it to Griffin Rock Zoo. Thurston took up hunting like the rest of his family, but due to his differences in hunting philosophy, grew ashamed of the Quarry name and instead took on the name Chumley.

Decades later, he used Q-Drones to abduct the lion from Griffin Rock Zoo, attracting the attention of the Rescue Team. They had Quint, who'd been previously imprisoned, to trick Chumley into attempting to steal four robot dinosaurs who were in reality the Rescue Bots. Chumley succeeded, adding the quartet to his menagerie on the ship he was using for a base, however the Rescue Bots promptly escaped. Though he tracked them down again, Boulder released a Carolina parakeet, which allowed the rest of the team to track down Chumley's ship. While the Burnses were releasing the Rescue Bots, Chumley confronted them, only to find a number of his own animals freed and set on him. Chumley used the only sanctuary available — a stasis pod — and thus was trapped. Enemy of My Enemy
