Continuity notes

  • Tox-En, the deadly Energon variant, makes a return from Prime. It retains its Kryptonite-esque effects on Cybertronians.
  • The "Ancient Autobot" mentioned in the episode seems to have been one of those who came to ancient Earth during the largely undefined period when Autobots began hiding their Energon stores offworld. This seems to be supported by the fact that this Autobot teamed up with humans to hide the Tox-En from another bot who wanted to do something "bad" with it, presumably a Decepticon. The faction notably used Tox-En as a bioweapon during the Great War (mentioned in the Prime episode "Toxicity").

Transformers references

  • TBA

Real-world references

  • The title is a play on "X marks the spot", commonly referred to when someone finds the hiding place of what they're looking for.

Animation and technical errors

  • TBA

Trivia

  • Tox-En is noted to be rare. Humans do not experience its debilitating effects.
  • The recruits' rather short stature is explicitly brought up as a plot point: a normal Cybertronian's eye-line is apparently higher. Maybe it's because they're young?

Foreign localization

  • TBA
