Watchdogs are... well, dogs, specifcally Salukis, from the Dark of the Moon portion of the live-action film series.

Watchdogs are the pets of the CEO of Hotchkiss Gould Investments and human-collaborator of the Decepticons, Dylan Gould.

Dylan Gould's dogs lived with him in Washington, D.C.. He would take them to work with him, where they would be looked after by some of his employees. One day when Sam Witwicky went to tell his girlfriend, Carly, that he got the job working for Accuretta Systems, he walked down a corridor passing the two dogs as one growled at him, causing him to anxiously keep his distance. A few days later, the pair were transported to Trump Tower in Chicago with Dylan and his hostage, Carly. When Sentinel Prime ordered the Decepticons to invade the city, Dylan gave his aids orders to take his dogs out the back where they would be kept safe. Once the city was secured by the Decepticons, the dogs were kept in the same room with Carly, overlooking Sentinel Prime and Megatron's makeshift command post, the dogs seemingly pretty relaxed despite all the on-going gun fire and rumbling ships just outside the window. • Though, they are never seen again after Carly looks through the telescope, one hopes they didn't get hurt by Bumblebee's attack on the building. One also hopes the pair got adopted by a better owner.
