Throttler

Throttler is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Power Core Combiners portion of the live-action film series continuity family.

Throttler is Sledge's partner. He's a vicious little bastard who's all for helping Sledge along with his destruction and carnage.

• Sledge with Throttler (Commander Class, 2010)

Throttler was available only with his partner Sledge as part of the second wave of Power Core Combiners Commander Class figures. Throttler transforms from a robot into a drill that can be attached to any robot with a Powerlinx hardpoint, as well as "body armor" for Commanders in either of their robot modes. In drill mode, Throttler's head is a 5mm Powerlinx hardpoint, allowing him to be held in a bulk's hand, or attached to any other Mini-Con via Powerlinx socket. The drill section can also rotate separately from the connector/front torso section... in theory. In early runs of the figure, the joint is so tight that it's actually easier to spin him around on a Powerlinx hardpoint, but you probably shouldn't do that either. The problem was eventually fixed in later runs.

During the period between December 26 2010 and January 31 2011, Hasbro ran their "Supercharge Your Holidays" promotion: for every $20 spent on Hasbro-branded product, customers could receive a free, random product from a list provided by Hasbro. Among the items on the list was "Transformers Combiners & Speed Stars Mini Vehicle". According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Sledge with Throttler was one of the figures distributed.

This mold was also used to make Aimless and Groundbreak.

Sledge and Throttler were also made available as part of a Walmart-exclusive Black Friday "Value Pack", combining a 5-pack team with a Commander 2-pack via packaging tape and a couple of stickers, for the whopping price of ten bucks, merely a third of what the two toys would normally cost.

So far, Sledge has been found attached to the Crankcase/Destrons, Over-Run/Stunticons and Steamhammer/Constructions sets.
