The name or term "Bullhorn" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Bullhorn (disambiguation).
Bullorn is a Beastformer from the Generation 1 continuity family.
I say, pup pup cheerio and whatnot.

Bullorn (ブルオーン Buruōn) may not be a young pup anymore, but there's muscle under those wrinkles. A rugby player in his youth, this boisterous bulldog can still hold his own in a scrum with beasts half his age and come out smiling. His strength, speed and prowess greatly impressed White Leo, and led to Bullorn's becoming a sergeant in his army. But while he's good at the old rough-and-tumble, he really shines as a confidant and mentor. Always willing to sit down with the lads and listen, tell stories, give advice, and build up the confidence of his charges or just anyone who needs it, he has become a beloved father figure to many a young warrior.

Following the war, he returned to his homeland Madra, where he was granted the title of King. When he's not helping out his people, he spends his downtime tending to his plants, and having a pint or six with his friend Emperor Dark Raccoon.

His MVP Weapon the Bull Stick (ブルステッキ Buru Sutekki) may have one of the oddest powers on planet Beast: it can temporarily imbue inanimate objects with "life", enabling them to impossibly move under their own power, controlled by Bullorn's thoughts. Mostly he uses this to bring bottles of alcohol from across the room to his guests without anyone having to get up.

Transformers: Beastformers

  • Bullorn (Beastformer, 1987)
    • Beast ID number: 51
    • Accessories: Cane
Part of the second series of Takara's Beastformers toys, Bullorn is an anthopomorphic bulldog in orange robotic armor. The rubsign on his chest reveals one of three symbols; Fire, Water or Wood.
He came in a green-grid generic "Cybertron Beastformer" box, with a bio card with a painted character image on a jungle backdrop. Re-released in Series 3, the box was unchanged, but the bio card replaced the painted image with a simpler line-art image, first used in Hasbro's Battle Beasts cast poster. In both Series, depending on the "Pack" he came in, there was a chance of his bio card being replaced with a rare "Secret Photo", "Bewitching Serpent Seal", or "VS Holography Mirror" card.

Beastformers

  • Bullorn (Beastformer, 1988)
    • Beast ID number: 29
    • Accessories: "Bull Stick" MVP Weapon
Re-released in the Transformers-less Beastformers sequel series, Bullorn was given a straight re-release with new packaging and a new, more filled-out bio card with corrected coloring. This new card also gave his weapon, now branded an "MVP Weapon", the name "Bull Stick".
The initial early releases of this series had the chance for any Beastformer to have the rare Burstsun symbol; we'll probably never know if Bullorn was ever actually one of them. Later in the run, the "mood ring" styled rubsigns were replaced with new rubsigns that revealed full-color Fire/Wood/Water images on black backdrops. (These rubsign variants also happened at the same time in the Hasbro Battle Beast version of the line.)

Notes

  • His 1988 bio card gives him the nickname "Bull" (ブル Buru).
  • In Japanese, "stick" can have a connotation of "walking stick" or "cane"; it can also be another word for a wand, as in a magician or a magical girl's wand. In the Bull Stick's case, it's both.
