- Hustlebear is a Laser Beast from the Generation 1 continuity family.
There's not much to Hustlebear (ハッスルベア Hassurubea) at first glance. A cold-weather operative from northern climes, he rarely shows emotion, coming off as cold and unfeeling (even compared to the average Laser Beast), and is a bit on the dim side to boot. But it's a mistake to underestimate this slow, plodding beast. When he gets mad, he explodes with sudden fury, becoming a storm of violence.
Physically, his strength is staggering. When worked up, he can crumble a small mountain with a single punch. Worse, his MVP Weapon, the Strong Claw Laser (ストロングクローレーザー Sutorongu Kurō Rēzā), can deliver a powerful shock that, with a strong enough hit, can effectively disintegrate its target.

In 2038, the then-peaceful Beast was invaded by Galvatron II's Decepticons. Hustlebear was part of the joint Beastformer-Laser Beast alliance that fought against the invaders. He was hurt in battle, but was healed by Tigerburn's Medical Aid Laser. The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 3
