| This article is about the evil Autobot. For his heroic counterpart, see Gears (G1). For a list of other meanings, see Gears (disambiguation). |
- Gears is an evil Autobot from the Shattered Glass continuity family.

Gears is probably SUPER happy. Like, all the time.

- Pick-Up (Malignus, 1985)
The wine and maroon deco of Pick-Up was repurposed as Shattered Glass Gears.
- A redeco of the Mini Vehicle Gears, Pick-Up transforms into a pickup truck of unidentified (probably made-up) model. He was released only in Brazil by Estrela, and was available in two different color schemes: light green with purple robot parts, and dark "wine" with maroon. He also has a new "Malignus" faction sigil decal in robot mode.
- All of the "Optimus/Malignus" Mini Vehicle releases are considered fairly rare, and go for a fairly high price on the secondary market, particularly the secondary color schemes; in this instance, the wine/maroon Pick-Up goes for more than the green/purple.
- This mold was also used to make Small Foot, and retooled to make Swerve. The green/purple deco of this figure also inspired the Shattered Glass incarnation of Swerve.
Notes
- Gears was not visually depicted in Fun Publications' stories, but Jesse Wittenrich later clarified his design intent on Twitter.
