The Weather Observatory Moon Base is a human-run base on, surprise, the Moon. Presumably it's involved in observing and predicting weather patterns on Earth.

[edit]When Overlord headed to the Moon to meet with BlackZarak, the first thing he did was attack the moonbase. Will the Bomber Project Be Destroyed!? Giga and Mega took the base personnel captive, locking them in a room. They promptly escaped, splitting into two groups. Giga intercepted one group including the base's captain, using a freeze ray to incapacitate them, but the other group was able to send an emergency transmission to Earth before they were recaptured. The transmission reached the Autobots, who hurried to complete the Bomber project to allow Ginrai to fly to the Moon. God Ginrai - Into the Sky!!
Notes
[edit]- Although BlackZarak and Overlord were expelled from the moon in "God Ginrai - Showdown on the Surface of the Moon", the personnel were presumably rescued, as the moon base captain turned up in command of another ill-fated Lunar Base in the Victory episode "The Brave Hero of the Universe - Star Saber".
