Spindle is a Wrecker Fossilizer from the Legacy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Waiting for her red redeco...

She may just be a pile of bones, but new recruit Spindle is ready to fight alongside Impactor to arm him for combat! She is a deadly predator when on the attack, and can transform into indestructible weapons and armor.[1]

Toys

Legacy

  • Comic Universe Impactor & Spindle (2-pack, 2022)
    • Accessories: "HP Energon Mineblaster" rifle, "Trilithium Drill", Tail-weapon, Wreckers hammer piece
Part of the first pack in the Legacy Wreck N' Rule Collection, Spindle is a heavy retool of War for Cybertron: Kingdom Deluxe Class Paleotrex, transforming into a Spinosaurus skeleton in 28 steps. Aside from the obvious Spinosaurus changes, Spindle has a new head and chest piece.
As a Fossilizer, Spindle can split into weapons and armor compatible with the C.O.M.B.A.T. System for use by other War for Cybertron Trilogy figures (or any figure with 5 mm post compatibility). Notably, Spindle's new tooling is pointedly designed with an eye towards creating a Fossilizer combination homaging the original dino-combiner, Grimstone.[2]
Due to having tiny feet and a very oddly proportioned body in robot mode, the figure can be difficult to pose without it falling over, not helped by the fact that her "ankle" tilts are actually positioned just below her knees.
Spindle was put in the Amazon exclusive Wreck N' Rule Collection, being in a two-pack with Impactor. The two-pack itself was revealed on May 9th, 2022. All packs in the Wreck N' Rule Collection contain a piece of the Wreckers' hammer insignia, with this pack having an unknown piece, as well as the box art being able to be put together to form a display piece. Spindle herself comes with a tail weapon.
This mold's original version was recolored into Skelivore and was retooled with a new head to make Generations Selects Transmutate.

Notes

  • The Kingdom precedent of Autobot-allied Fossilizers would imply that Spindle is a Maximal, but this is not addressed by Legacy materials.
