...all your friends were so knocked out.

When Victory Saber initiated the "Zone Project", the Battle Patrol Team helped rebuild planet Micro into planet Zone. To counter this threat, Violengiguar began conquering planets in order to create his own Decepticon Zone. The Race Car Patrol and all other Micromaster teams were then sent on patrol across the galaxy, specifically to planets where their unique skills could do the most good. Zone Part 1

When Bruticus attacked the planet Feminia, the Battle Patrol Team was among several units of Micromasters deployed to stop him. Through teamwork, they proved triumphant. Zone Part 2

During the attack of the Nine Great Demon Generals on the Planet Zone Base, Gunlift could be seen firing his cannon at Menasor and Abominus, obviously to little effect, as the ginormous attackers didn't even show a reaction to his shelling. So, despite Gunlift's effort, the Demon Generals succeeded in capturing the Energon Z energy source. As they retreated, Gunlift and his comrades of the Battle Patrol Team boarded Moonradar's rocket to chase after them, pursued them to Earth. There, the Battle Patrol Team among other Microtransformers faced off against Trypticon and Predaking, again finding themselves again at the receiving end of a beating. Gunlift was nearly mauled by Trypticon's flail. Luckily, Sonic Bomber and Dai Atlas arrived just in time and save the day.

Later on, Gunlift could be seen amongst the crowd cheering and applauding the newly appointed Autobot Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas. Enter the New Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas! Transformers: Zone

When the Powered Masters flew off to the Tenth Planet for their showdown with Violengiguar, all the Micromaster teams took command of Zone and vowed to keep it safe in their Commander's absence. Zone Part 10

Beast Wars: Uprising

Gunlift was a member of the Temple Guard at the High Pavilion of Iacon. At the end of the Grand Uprising, he fought to hold back the army of the Resistance from seizing the Builder Assembly. One of the last eight out of 400 Micromasters to survive, Gunlift died defending the Builders' siege bunker. Derailment

You had to be a GUN LIFT did ya? You had to open up your mouth...
  • Battle Patrol Team (Micro Transformer Team, 1990)
  • ID number: C-332
Released in the Zone portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, Gunlift is a redeco of the Hasbro-release Micromaster Big Shot, transforming into a Denel G-6 self-propelled gun. Early releases of the Team had yellow plastic parts (including Gunlift's main cannon) for some inexplicable reason, but these were changed to dark gray in later releases (including the later Return of Convoy release).
Gunlift is gang-molded with his teammate Sidetrack, thus the two toys share the same plastic colors.
He was only available in a Battle Patrol Team four-pack along with his teammates Sidetrack, Sunrunner, and Powerbomb.

  • Battle Patrol Team (Micro Transformer Team, 1991)
  • ID number: C-374
  • Accessories: Micro Trailer #11
The Battle Patrol Team was one of three Zone Teams to be re-released in Return of Convoy. For this release, however, a Micro Trailer was added to the set to make them line up with the other Micro Teams in the line.
This release of the Team has the dark-gray plastic parts of the later Zone release.

Notes

  • Gunlift's deco (well, the non-yellow-having version) was used to make the Siege Decepticon Fireline, himself a retool of that line's version of Big Shot.
