- Blackrock's chemical plant is a facility from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Following G.B. Blackrock's agreement to provide the Autobots with fuel in exchange for protection from the Decepticons,[1] he had gasoline specially treated for them at his chemical plant, located near Portland.

[edit]Just before Christmas 1986, Jazz and Jetfire were taking delivery of a shipment of fuel at the plant when it was attacked by Thrust and Bombshell, starting a fire that threatened to set off a chain reaction amongst the chemicals. Horrified at the prospect of a toxic cloud being unleashed over Portland, Blackrock urged Jetfire to help and after neatly defeating both Decepticons the aerial Autobot dumped a vat of water onto the fire, averting catastrophe.
The next day, Buster Witwicky's studies of the American War of Independence would be interrupted by a TV news report about the incident at the chemical plant, and then again by Jetfire showing up in person to tell him about it. The Gift
