Optimus Prime finds good use out of being a giant robot.

Synopsis

Optimus Prime is feeling in the mood for a patrol, so he and Bumblebee go out for a drive. After Bumblebee splits off to patrol a different area, Optimus comes across a collapsed bridge and a small group of humans with no way of crossing it. Transforming to robot mode, Optimus uses his own body to cover the gap and allow the humans to cross the river. However, just after the last human gets across, Optimus' grip slips and he falls into the water. For a moment he thinks he's about to drown, but fortunately the river is so shallow it doesn't even reach his ankles. The humans thank a mildly embarassed Optimus while Bumblebee, arriving on the other side, bemusedly wonders how the two humans got across the broken bridge.

(Numbers indicate order of appearance.)

Autobots Humans
  • Pedestrians (3, 4, 5, 6)

Notes

This comic ran in the March 2021 issue of TV Magazine and advertised the War for Cybertron Trilogy Optimus Prime toy.

Transformers references

  • Optimus is once again drawn aggressively toy-accurate to the advertised figure, prominently sporting the toy's characteristic posterior wheel kibble.
    • Oda goes so far as to reproduce transformation details specific to the mold, as will become standard moving forward.
  • Optimus briefly sports the trailer from the original Earthrise incarnation of the War for Cybertron Trilogy mold, identifiable by its characteristic (lack of) undercarriage.
