Griffith Observatory is a place in the Movie continuity family.

Transformers (2007) movie

Bumblebee drove Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes to the site of this closed observatory to watch the arrival of the Autobot protoforms. After Bumblebee and his human friends are captured by Sector Seven, the remaining Autobots regroup at the observatory to discuss their next move. Transformers (2007)

Trivia

  • Initially, the owners of Griffin Observatory were reluctant to allow the crew of Transformers to film there, as it was undergoing a major renovation at the time. However, they relented as Susan Bay, a relative of director Michael Bay, and her husband, Leonard Nimoy, made substantial contributions to the funding of Griffith. [1]
