- Sandbot is a Transformer from the Generation 1 continuity family.

With the many tools at their disposal, Sandbot has the potential to shape worlds. They could prove to be a valuable asset in the war effort on Earth, with the planet's bountiful beaches.
That is, if anyone knew which side they were on.
Though it remains unknown where their loyalties lie, Sandbot does bear a striking resemblance to Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Are they an excessively proud member of the faction, or are they seeking to infiltrate their ranks for the Decepticons?

[edit]
- Sandbot is a pile of plastic beach toys in the shape of a truck robot. Manufactured by HG Toys, Sandbot can be disassembled to form a sieve, a shovel, a rake, a large scoop in the shape of a steam shovel, and the all-important pail. Devoid of deco, Sandbot features various stickers for picking out detail, including one of Optimus Prime's original packaging art declaring Sandbot's identity.
- Primarily released with blue arms, a blue head, and a red torso, Sandbot is known to come in any combination of red and blue plastic. The always-grey pail is marked 1985 on these variants.
Notes
[edit]- Despite being called out as a "6-in-1" toy on the packaging, Sandbot works more like a multi-component Transformer than a Six Changer.
