Although paradrium can serve as a potential Cybertronian fuel source, most Transformers can't properly process the substance. However, the inhabitants of Cybertron's various colony planets could handle it better, and Junkions could even consume it raw.
Occasionally, chunks of paradrium would become attracted to electrical currents that flowed between Paradron and Earth, where they would fall to the ground in meteor form. One such meteor landed on one of Simon Sabhaman's properties, and he subsequently began selling it to his customers. Eventually, however, he caught on to the potential industrial uses for the crystals, and began selling them to private companies. However, this upswing in business caught the attention of the Junkion Scrapheap, who'd fallen in with a motley group of villains calling themselves the Unforgettable Alliance. Scrapheap needed a fuel source to power his experiments into cross-species combiner technology; as a result, the group began robbing companies in the Florida area connected to Sabhaman's business network.
Sabhaman called on the forces of G.I. Joe to move his remaining paradrium stash to a secure off-site location, but this only attracted the attention of the Unforgettable Alliance, who invaded his warehouse and took him hostage. When a G.I. Joe taskforce arrived, Prototype Tezzla sent a team of Cogs to steal the paradrium crystals and escape back to their scrapyard headquarters. Memories and Salvation
