Megatron along with Rumble and Soundwave journeyed down to the depths of Cybertron, passing by numerous shafts and pathways, when they arrived at the entrance to the Vector Sigma Chamber. However, obstructing their way were Centurion droids that were guarding the super computer. After the droids proved immune to the Decepticons' weapons, Megatron realized that he could control them with the Key to Vector Sigma, sending them against the Autobots. Unobstructed, the Decepticons used Vector Sigma to create the Stunticons. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1

Hanging around Vector Sigma's chamber even after Megatron had returned to Earth, Shockwave bore witness to the Autobots used Vector Sigma to create the Aerialbots and overheard Alpha Trion warning Optimus Prime that the Key to Vector Sigma had different powers and properties on Earth, passing the information along to Megatron. The Chamber of Vector Sigma (here known as the Oracle) was a massive structure located near the very core of Cybertron. An ornate bridge was located where one could approach the Oracle and consult it. After the Oracle caused Technorganic plants to arise from the ground, the Chamber became the Maximals' home base. A large water distribution system was placed above the orchard to irrigate it. Sparkwar Pt. I: The Strike

Vector Sigma's chamber was located beneath Kaon. When Jack Darby and Arcee came to Cybertron, the chamber reacted to the Key in the former's possession, the pathway emerging in a gladiatorial arena. After an Insecticon defeated Arcee, it tore down the chamber's door and followed Jack inside, only to meet its end when Jack made it the target of a scarplet swarm. Rebooting, Arcee followed into the chamber only to meet Jack, who had already downloaded the supercomputer's knowledge, halfway. Orion Pax, Part 3

2005 IDW continuity

In 2017, Joe Colton's Iron Ring, seeking to destroy Cybertron and the Transformers, descended into Cybertron to merge the Talisman with Vector Sigma. Seeing the threat, Vector Sigma began releasing energy bolts against the intruders when they got too close to its chamber, unleashing an Insecticon swarm when they got too close. First Strike #5 When the Iron Ring faced further resistance, Merklynn decided to make the best of it and had the Talisman terraform a portion of the outer chamber into New Prysmos. First Strike #6

Undeterred, the Talisman continued to burrow through the chamber to reach Vector Sigma. Schismatic Cybertron No More Wheeljack subsequently developed an anti-magic bomb to inoculate Vector Sigma against the Talisman's necrotic energies, intending to detonate it in the lowest levels of Vector Sigma's antechamber. Good Men When the bomb detonated, it reacted with the energies of Galadria's healing spell, preserving Vector Sigma and raising New Prysmos to Cybertron's surface. The Curtain

The Functionist Universe

In a universe where Megatron was never born, the Functionist Council and the Senate came to loggerheads over the use of Nova Prime's stockpile of frozen sparks to increase the planet's population. The Functionist Council deemed the practice heretical against the teaching of Adaptus. In response, the Senate sealed Vector Sigma behind a wall of impenetrable ununtrium. In turn, the Council gathered an army of devoted followers, seized the Matrix of Leadership, and executed Nominus Prime and the Senate for blasphemy. A World Misplaced Since ununtrium walls could be cut by ununtrium blades, the wall around Vector Sigma was little more than an inconvenience for the Functionists, but they left the supercomputer alone out of fear that their collective alternate mode was not needed to activate it. Modes of Production

Five million years later, the Council found a way to save face and quickly drilled through the chamber's walls to reach Vector Sigma. To stop the Council from perverting Vector Sigma, Team Rodimus teleported into the chamber and managed to rescue Rung, halting their plans. Bad Moon Rising Modes of Production

Cyberverse cartoon

When Cybertron fell to war, Vector Sigma's chamber was seized by the Decepticons. Megatron intended to use the supercomputer to reprogram the Allspark and have it birth whole generations of Decepticons, delegating Shockwave to base himself in the computer's chamber. When the Autobots caught wind of this, Bumblebee was sent down to Vector Sigma to gleam the Decepticon plan only to be chased away by Shockwave's drones. Megatron Is My Hero Vector Sigma was eventually removed from its chamber and held aboard the Nemesis. Bring Me The Spark Of Optimus Prime

66 million years later, Vector Sigma was returned to its rightful place in within the Threshold of the Allspark. Battle For Cybertron II There the supercomputer was destroyed by Windblade and Wheeljack using unspace goo. Battle For Cybertron IV
