Chris Metzen (born November 22, 1973) is the co-writer (with Flint Dille) of The Transformers: Autocracy and its two follow-up series, Monstrosity and Primacy. Formerly a video game designer at Blizzard Entertainment, he contributed scripts to the Warcraft and StarCraft series, and has begun branching into comic book writing.

Metzen is a serious fan of Transformers, citing The Transformers: The Movie and Simon Furman's body of work as his main inspiration, and has admitted to being a fan of the then-ongoing and All Hail Megatron alongside Maximum Dinobots and Last Stand of the Wreckers.
