Shuhei Umezu

Shuhei "Shu" Umezu (梅津 周平 Umezu Shuhei) is a TakaraTomy designer currently on the Generations mega-brand. He was previously on the Zoids team.

Trivia

• Umezu was a professional sculptor before hopping tracks into toy design.
• Umezu is a Transformers fan himself and came up on Beast Wars. He cites Lio Convoy as a personal favorite.
• Umezu's first childhood Transformers toy was a G-2 Cyberjet that lives on his desk to this day.
  • This revelation came much to the horror of his officemate Takio Ejima, who designed the Cyberjets.
• Umezu is fluent in English.
• His dream project would be a Masterpiece version of Galaxy Convoy.
