Mitsuo Iso (磯 光雄 Iso Mitsuo, born 1966) is a Japanese animator, animation director, and screenwriter. He's known for directing Dennō Coil and for his animation on Neon Genesis Evangelion, famously Asuka Langley's battle from End of Evangelion. Early in his career he worked on various mecha series such as Ninja Senshi Tobikage, and Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos. Among these series was Transformers: Super-God Masterforce.
