Godzilla (ゴジラ Gojira) is a mysterious creature similar to King Kong. Apparently, it is big, green, snorts fire, and is lizard-like.
Fiction
Marvel The Transformers comics
Super-spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. had encountered Godzilla before. Alerted to trouble in Oregon by Dum Dum, S.H.I.E.L.D. employee Nicholas Fury threatened to quit if it was "that big green, fire-snortin' lizard" again. Prisoner of War!
Earthforce

When Superion was running amok in upper New York State under the influence of one of Bombshell's cerebro-shells, reporter Irwin Spoon compared him to Godzilla when the Autobots he encountered told him the Aerialbot combiner was actually one of the "good guys".
Prowl had absolutely no idea what Irwin was referring to. Inside Story!
IDW movie comics
While guarding Fearswoop, Jolt read the first issue of IDW's Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters comic. Rising Storm #3
Transformers vs. G.I. Joe
Tunnel Rat referred to Trypticon as "Mechagodzilla". Everybody Hates Metroplex
Toys
Synergenex

- Megatron Type Godzilla (2024)
- Accessories: blaster, Fire Blast effect
- Part of T-SPARK's Synergenex line of collector-targeted crossover toys celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Godzilla franchise, "Megatron Type Godzilla" is a retool of Studio Series 86 Grimlock, decked in colors representing the King of Monsters during the Millennium era. His dino neck is cast in translucent blue plastic partially painted black to evoke the charging of Godzilla's Atomic Breath, and he includes a blast effect to represent this fiery attack. He has a new robot head, originally designed to be Sludge. His blaster, carried over from Grimlock, is now cast in silver plastic.
- This figure was revealed alongside "Optimus Prime Type MFS-3 Kiryu", a Mechagodzilla-themed redeco of the Legacy Laser Optimus Prime as an homage to Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S..

Notes

- Godzilla had his own Marvel Comics series in which Dum Dum hunted him down.
- Super-God Masterforce head writer Masumi Kaneda has stated that God Ginrai (ゴッドジンライ) was named so that omitting every other Japanese syllable yields the word Gojira (ゴジラ), the original Japanese name for Godzilla.
- Hojoni ("Kremzeek!") and Humungado ("The Attack of Humungado") are pastiches of Godzilla.
- Tri-Rex's roar sounds identical to Godzilla's.
- Cruellock's alt-mode is based on Godzilla's appearance in the :}}Godzilla (1998 film)|, also known as "Zilla".
- Dalung Master's alt-mode is based on Godzilla.
- "The Champ" has Grimlock mimic Godzilla's infamous sliding tail-kick from :}}Godzilla vs. Megalon|.
- "The Big Operation to Help Santa!" also has Grimlock use his flame breath to propel himself through the air, in reference to a infamous scene from :}}Godzilla vs. Hedorah|.
- A G1 Shockwave figure in his alt-mode was used to portray Torema's laser gun in the 1997 short-form TV series Godzilla Island.
- Erik Aadahl provided the sound design for the titular creature's roar in the :}}Godzilla (2014 film)|.
