Quasar is an Animatronian Mini-Con from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

A member of the Hellflame Mini-Con Team, Quasar (クエーサー Kuēsā) enforces the rule of the mighty Scourge with his projectile-weapon attacks as an Ion Displacer rifle, a rare ability among the citizenry of the Jungle Planet.

A redeco of the Armada Emergency Mini-Con Team member Prowl, Quasar transforms into a Cybertronic police car. He also has a third weapon mode, transforming into a pistol that can be held by most toys that use 5 mm post accessories.
He was available at Japanese Ito Yokaido stores in March of 2005 with the purchase of any Transformers Galaxy Force product, as well as at JUSCO stores with the purchase of Flame Convoy (aka Scourge).
The same mold is used by Checkpoint, Groove, and Kingbolt.
