Sunstorm was among the rebel Mini-Cons guarding the gigantic cannon aimed at the Mini-Con Council of Sages' main base. He took place in the battles against the Autobots there, and was present when Unicron made his grand appearance.
It is unknown how Sunstorm fared in the battle. It is possible that he's the only member of the Sky Terror Team to survive, though Omega Prime and Sentinel Maximus vowed to help Anti-Blaze hunt down the last remnants of the insurrection, so he might not have gotten far.

- Sunstorm vs. Checkpoint (Mini-Con 2-pack, 2006)
- Sunstorm is a redeco of the Energon-series Energon Saber member Wreckage, transforming into a Cybertronic space cruiser. He also forms the tip of the Sky Terror Team's combined sword mode. He was available only in a two-pack with the Autobot-allied Mini-Con Checkpoint.
- This mold was also used to make Beacon. The original tooling for the mold was used to make Armada's Runway and Jack.
