- Sunstorm is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Though Thrust leads the Sky Terror Mini-Con Team, some think that Sunstorm is the true brains of the outfit, and therefore the greatest threat. Sunstorm plans to sell his own people to the Decepticons, to be used as power wells and fuel for the Decepticons' galactic war machine. For this gift, he fully expects to be given his rightful place in the Decepticon hierarchy!
Sunstorm forms the Chaos Saber with his teammates.

[edit]Sunstorm and an army of insurgent Mini-Cons forged an alliance with some Decepticons to eliminate the Mini-Con colony on one of Cybertron's moons. Hidden in the debris between two of Cybertron's moons was a secret base of operations, where Sunstorm and the others had constructed a cannon that could eliminate the primary colony with one shot. But the Mini-Con Council of Sages caught wind of this plan and contacted the remaining Autobots on Earth. Revelations Part 4
The insurgent Mini-Cons were soon engaged in battle with an Optimus Prime, an Ultra Magnus, Sentinel Maximus, Downshift, and Skyfall, which would have been more than they could handle, if Sunstorm and the others were not secretly allied with Unicron and Soundwave. After the first attack wave, Sunstorm called the remaining insurgent Mini-Cons to him to regroup, and one last push was made against the much larger Autobot army. Unfortunately, the alliance was a sham to draw out Skyfall, who Unicron had designs for, and Unicron quickly turned on them. Revelations Part 5 The Coming Storm: Part 1

- Released as part of the third wave of Cybertron Mini-Con 2-packs, Cybertron Sunstorm is a redeco of the Energon-series Energon Saber member Wreckage, transforming into a Cybertronic space cruiser. He also forms the tip of the Sky Terror Team's combined sword mode.
- He was available only in a two-pack with the Autobot-allied Mini-Con Checkpoint.
