A god is a being with unexplainable power, or something. There's a bunch of guys who've been considered gods, and some more guys who've tried to amass enough power to join their ranks.
They should not be confused with Godmasters, the Japanese equivalence of Powermasters in toyline. "God" is a common Japanese mecha term to evoke great power, and typically is not used in a religious sense.
