Sound Wave toys are stylish little mass-marketed fellas from the Animated continuity.

Go on, you know you want one.

Based off of the designs and patents of Isaac Sumdac, Porter C. Powell released the hottest toy of the Christmas season, Sound Wave! He sings, he dances! He does it all! He's available for only $19.95! Unfortunately these toys were a little too close to the design of the original Soundwave, and thus ended up becoming an army of drones in his service.

Catchy beat, though.

Porter C. Powell took to the airwaves to hype the toy everybody wants to buy, Sound Wave! Soon these little toy robots were seen in nearly every household in Detroit. Several of them were seen up to suspicious behavior, signaled by their optics turning red. Most notably, one of them managed to sneak into the Autobots' base and taint their oil supply to force them into stasis. Beginning the next phase of his plan, Soundwave sent the drones swarming out of Detroit's biggest toy store, using their hypnotic music to enslave the humans of the city. Realizing that Sari's techno-organic nature rendered her immune to his control, Soundwave turned the enthralled humans against her. Smashing individual drones proved not to break the spell, so Sari left to recruit help.

Once Soundwave was ultimately defeated, all the drones broke down. Powell lamented that refunding all the customers inadvertently enslaved by his popular toy was going to bankrupt him, while Wreck-Gar helpfully vacuumed up all the plastic debris from the debacle. Human Error, Part II
