It is most often assumed that the Axalon crash-landed somewhere in Africa at the beginning of the Beast Wars. This claim is supported by the Maximals' alternate forms; cheetahs, rhinos, rats are all found on this continent, and gorillas are exclusive to Africa. Consequentially, many of the adventures and battles that take place during the Beast Wars presumably took place in Africa. However, since both the Maximals and Predacons are shown to travel great distances with ease and relatively quickly, it is sometimes difficult to tell where the main action of an episode took place.
