Yes, that's the implication in the Manga. Following BW2 the characters from that show landed 50,000 years in the past on different worlds and (likely thanks to the anglomois energy) they created the races of the BWN characters. The matchups were: | |||

And of course dieing LioConvoy gives his matrix to a wounded mammoth which turns into Big Convoy.(How Big Convoy gets back to the future is unrevealed.)
