Joan and a fellow archeologist named Merrick were working at a research site in South America. While digging into a hillside, Joan discovered something extraordinary. Instead of Mayan pottery and artifacts, she uncovered a metal panel. Extensive excavation revealed the panel was part of the rear of a giant alien spacecraft.
Her discovery gained her international exposure on television, which was how the Autobots and Decepticons found out about the ship.
Joan wanted to open the craft but before she and her team could try, the Decepticons interrupted them and opened fire. Joan and the others climbed into their Jeeps and drove off, and were never heard from again. Microbots
Notes
- The Sunbow Productions cast list entry for "Microbots" notes that Joan is Merrick's wife.
