IDW Comics continuity

When Skywatch contacts Spike after attempting to reach him for seven hours, he takes the call while leaving his booty call's home in Albuquerque. She watches him walk back to his car (in actuality the Decepticon Breakdown) as he bravely ignores the question of where he was while his men were fighting off giant robots. The need to return to base (for the interrogation of Optimus Prime) gives him the perfect excuse for leaving without saying goodbye. New Arrivals, Old Encounters
