At what turned out to be the end of the Border Wars, the Autobots gained the upper hand in the conflict and so could convince the Decepticons and the Ultracons to sign a peace treaty. The three leaders, Ultra Magnus, Shockwave and Ratbat came together in Tyger Pax to formalize the treaty. Everything was working out nicely, but then Starscream and his Predacon faction crashed the conference. The fight initially proceeded in favor of the Predacons; then the joined forces of the three peace treaty-factions got over their surprise and fought back succesfully. Only, Megatron just so happened to use that exact moment and location to return from his millions of years absence, bringing with him a gazillion Air Warriors that easily intimidated all factions into surrender. Transformers (2007) movie continity

The linchpin battle between the Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron happened at Tyger Pax. It was both a battleground and a key feature to a strategy devised by Optimus Prime, wherein the AllSpark would be blasted into space to remove it from Megatron's grasp.

The battle served as bait to distract Megatron as final preparations were made to launch the AllSpark. Many Autobots gave their lives to ensure the plan worked, and it was here that Bumblebee became a hero. He and his squad held off Megatron just long enough for the AllSpark to be launched; Megatron tore out Bumblebee's vocal mechanism in an act of reprisal, and then left to chase after the Cube.
