Ocean Software was a computer game developer and publisher based in Manchester, England. They were founded in 1984 and made their name by publishing licensed games sourced from television, movies and arcade games.
One of these licensed games was The Transformers for the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum.
Ocean Software was purchased for £100 million by Infogrames, and through a series of renamings, mergers and so on, now exists as part of Atari, Inc.
