Marty Isenberg is an American television writer responsible for co-story editing Beast Machines alongside Bob Skir and story editing Transformers Animated. When he joined the Animated production staff his first task was to revise the production bible. Later on, he would pen the original-story Animated comic series for IDW. It is his goal to make Animated "the most fun Transformers series ever". Rock on, Marty.
Marty has also dabbled with voice acting, providing the voice of Animated Optimus Prime for the series' test-track to get early animation before David Kaye was cast for the role.
He has also contributed a significant amount of work for Cartoon Network and other properties. His highest profile non-Transformers work has been as a writer for the revival of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Other works include such comic-to-cartoon properties as Batman the Animated Series, Spider-Man, X-Men and Sam & Max: Freelance Police!, as well episodes from Godzilla: The Series, usually in partnership with Bob Skir.

Notes

- According to the convention's magazine advertisement, Bob Skir and Marty Isenberg were invited to BotCon 2000, but did not end up attending.
- On the Transformers Animated season 2 DVD set, Marty provides episode commentary on "Mission Accomplished" and "Garbage In, Garbage Out" alongside Eric Siebenaler, Derrick Wyatt and Matt Youngberg.
- Marty has said he prefers to do self-contained episodes and then build on them in later episodes, than to do multi-ep story arcs: "I'd rather not have everything planned out for the entire season."
- Someone who looks suspiciously like him appears at the Burger Bot in "Human Error, Part I", alongside the Decepticon-allied humans Cancer and Hydra from Super-God Masterforce. (Marty, is there something you need to tell us?)
- The sidebar of a newspaper article in The Allspark Almanac reports an interview with a "Hannah and Sarah Rose Isenberg" about their best-selling father.
