Raiden is an Autobot from the Headmasters portion of Generation 1.
Raiden is the combined form of the six Trainbots Kaen, Getsui, Seizan, Shouki, Suiken, and Yukikaze.
Each member transforms into a different Japanese high speed or bullet train. Raiden is an ambitious gestalt. He maintains an active rivalry with Devastator and plans on challenging the Decepticon giant Predaking next.
Fiction
Headmasters
When confronted by Decepticon combiner teams, Raiden was always ready to fight back using his terrific strength and Train Bazooka. He was the only new combiner team introduced during the series.
Toys
- Raiden
- Japanese ID number: C-131
- Released only in Japan, Raiden's toy dates back to the Diaclone line, similar to the Constructicons. For Headmasters, the Trainbots were available individually or in a gift set. They were later re-released during Transformers: Zone. Like Devastator, each Trainbot member becomes a specific part of Raiden; most appendages cannot be swapped like the later Scramble City combiners.
There are many knock-off molds available as well, with varying degrees of quality.
