- Although Springer's head design and weapon of choice are homages to his Generation 1 counterpart, according to early comments by character designer Derrick Wyatt, he may not be a Triple Changer due to triple changing apparently driving you crazy in Animated.[1] Besides, he can't be a helicopter anyway, since Autobots don't fly (usually).
