After a befallen Sparkplug Witwicky was brought to the Medical Center by Buster, the attending doctor saw that Sparkplug was suffering from a heart attack and told other medical personnel to have Dr. Garret meet them in the O.R. Presumably, Garret was successful at alleviating Sparkplug's condition, as he appeared well in a hospital bed later. The Last Stand
