Marvel Productions Ltd. was a television and motion picture studio based in Hollywood, California. Originally an animation studio, the studio produced such notable cartoons as Transformers, G.I. Joe, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, The Incredible Hulk and Defenders of the Earth.

The studio also produced animated TV specials and movies as The Transformers: The Movie and G.I. Joe: The Movie.

Jim Shooter has claimed Marvel Productions disliked Marvel Comics (and vice versa), in particular David DePatie, Head of Development; "they thought of us as amateurish morons". This relationship improved when Magaret Loesch took over. [1]
