- The Omega Key is an object from the War for Cybertron portion of the Aligned continuity family.
The Omega Key is an important relic in Cybertronian culture that dated before the onset of the Great War. Typically, it is held by the Prime and leader of the Autobots who guarded it from abuse as it held the power to guide users to the very core of Cybertron itself. However, what was not known was the fact that the Key itself did not open the Omega Gate but simply alerted its Guardian who was the only Transformer capable of opening the doorway into the Core.

Thus, the Decepticons laid siege to Iacon itself where Megatron successfully defeated Zeta Prime and took the Key from him...which immediately started to blink. It was only then that a laughing Zeta Prime revealed that the Key's activation only awakened its Guardian, Omega Supreme who was coming to attack Megatron.
