They were to be available only in a Wal*Mart exclusive Piranhaking set for the Energon line.  (Wal*Mart recently had almost a half-dozen different Universe exclusive toys come out in the span of a month, and so they wanted the Piranhacon set to be in the mainline at the time instead of Universe.)  However, Wal*Mart ended up passing on the exclusive, likely to to low sales of previous exclusives to the chain. At this time, there are no concrete plans to release the set, though at 2005 Hasbro representatives said they were still trying to find an outlet for it. It is possible that the set might see release through the Fun Publications Transformers Collectors' Club, as that venue had saved Spacewarp from limbo.
The set will be released through the Transformers Collectors' Club, but the full details are not known.

This article is about the unreleased Energon combiner team. For the combined form of the Generation 1 Seacons, see Piranacon.
The Piranhacons were to have been a Decepticon combiner team in the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy.
CURSE YOU, AQUA-SCUM... wait.

The Piranhacons would have been aquatic fighters for the Decepticons, capable of combining to form the powerful Piranhaking.

The members of the team would have been...

Revealed at OTFCC 2004, the Piranhacons were to be a redeco of the Generation 1 Seacon team. Since they use the Scramble City style of combination, they are compatible with any other combiner robots of the same style.

They were to be available in a Wal*Mart exclusive Piranhaking set for the Energon line. (At the time, Wal-Mart recently had almost a half-dozen different Universe exclusive toys come out in the span of a month, and so they wanted the Piranhacon set to be in the mainline at the time instead of Universe.) However, Wal-Mart ended up passing on the exclusive, likely to to low sales of previous exclusives to the chain. This was one of several proposed exclusive toys that ended up in development limbo during that year. At BotCon 2005, Hasbro representatives said they were still trying to find an outlet for it.

The set will be released through the Transformers Collectors' Club, but the full details are not known.

This mold set was also used to make the Masterforce Seacons and the Beast Wars II Seacons.
