The announcer (アナウンサー anaunsā) is the host of News Abroad. He is very gullible, believing whatever somebody in a Halloween fortune teller costume tells him.

When Mega, disguised as a fortune teller, appeared on News Abroad, the announcer interviewed her. The fortune teller revealed that a disaster would soon occur in Japan and that Ginrai was the being responsible for the recent string of disasters. The announcer accepted all of this at face value.
The announcer again met with the fortune teller when she predicted a water-related disaster. Expose the Decepticons' Dark Trap!
