The Transformers: Prime toyline hits shelves on December 1, 2011. Beforehand, there had been much doubt as to whether there would be a toyline, partially because of the complex CG designs, and Hasbro considered releasing Optimus, Bumblebee and Starscream in the Generations line before deciding the show warranted its own label.[1]
